Description

The Ventana Discovery Ultra automated system enables single or multiplex immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) staining.

The advantages of this system are:

• 30 independent drawers. Thus, in a single cycle, as many different protocols as slides can be run — up to 30 different protocols on one slide each.
• Homogeneous distribution of reagents on the slide, ensuring more consistent staining thanks to regularly pulsed airflows.
• The possibility of having several tissue sections from different blocks on a single slide.
• The option to dispense antibodies and probes either automatically or manually, which helps reduce dead volumes of reagents during optimization.
• Deposition of a small volume of antibodies and probes (100 µL/slide), reducing reaction costs.
• Controlled incubation temperature of antibodies at 37°C.
• A fully “open” system, allowing the use of kits from any manufacturer.
• Traceability ensuring the recording of all conditions applied to your slides.

With this equipment, we have access to the latest technological developments in IHC and fluorescent IHC, enabling multiplex staining in both visible and fluorescence, even with primary antibodies from the same species.
